Merlitzhalle – Venue of the ITKF Children's and Youth Karate Games 2025 and the 22nd ITKF World Shi-ai April 10-13, 2025, Berlin
As the Treptow-Köpenick district office announced in a press release on March 15, 2022, the Merlitz sports hall in Adlershof was used as a meeting point for refugees from Ukraine. The sports facility will now be used to host a karate event from April 10-13, 2025. The Merlitzhalle, which was renovated in 2017, is one of the largest sports halls in the district with 500 spectator seats and is currently used from 7:45 am to 10:00 pm by several sports clubs, neighborhood, rehab and school sports as well as sports courses offered by the sports department. Thanks to good organization, it has been possible to ensure that the work of the social welfare office and club sports can take place alongside each other and to avoid major restrictions for sport.
